Front-End Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and deliver technology platforms and products. 

  • Create working software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities.

  • Communicate effectively with leadership, product owners, other technologists, and users. 

  • Break down complex problems into elegant technical solutions to solve problems for clients.  

  • Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development best practices, and new technologies. 

  • Oversee and grow a team of developers 

  • Architect front-end solutions for clients 

  • Define best practices and standards for HTML, CSS and JavaScript development

  • Provide leadership and code review for other front end developers on projects

  • Work directly with clients as needed

  • Provide expertise and direction to other front end developers as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience building highly-scalable, interactive web applications 

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Programming or Engineering related field 

  • Expert level knowledge in HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript. Demonstrated ability in writing object-oriented JavaScript.

  • Skilled in constructing sites that follow SEO best practices, are re-optimized for performance, and are supported on all major browsers/platforms

  • Expert knowledge in 1 or more FE frameworks (Bootstrap, Semantic-UI, Material UI, Neat, jQuery, etc). React / Redux and Vue is preferred. 

  • Experience working with and writing thoroughly tested code

  • Skilled in mentoring/coaching developers and coordinating with developers from other teams or 3rd party vendors 

  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies

  • Experience building front ends for CMS driven solutions
