About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Integrate with major external systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateway system, middleware, and other systems as required by project scope
Work with the project lead roles to produce quality code aligning within described work ticket conditions
Accept and process work tickets, provide feedback to project leads as necessary or when requested
Proactively evaluate work requested and being performed to ensure efforts are aligned with expected project and best practice approach
Produce quality code in keeping with best practice methods
Maintain alignment with the project leads and communicate as needed to achieve full understanding of effort needed
Keep up to date with all industry changes and latest methodology within the commerce industry as applies to coding practices
Basic Qualifications
3-5+ years’ experience with PHP and Magento eCommerce
2+ years’ experience with Magento 2
Preferred Skills
General knowledge of the Magento ecosystem including MCC, MOM, MBI, Magento Shipping and Social – Specific experience in the above is a plus
Has an understanding and the ability to function in the Magento ecosystem
Strong integration knowledge of the Magento platform
Expert PHP and Object-Oriented Programming skills
Experience working with the Magento Commerce database and use of the Magento data layer
Has leveraged open source LAMP/LEMP stack, particularly PHP and MySQL, and the use of creation of third-party libraries and frameworks
Working knowledge of server level infrastructure as applied to Magento
Commerce builds including installation/configuration of Apache2, NGINX, Varnish, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and associated prerequisites
Familiarity with the following: JavaScript, HTML5, XML/ XSL, SOAP, REST, AJAX, CSS3
Strong understanding of Design Patterns
Good team player who can work with people of all levels / backgrounds
Working knowledge shopping cart development with shipping, payment gateway integration for E-commerce websites
Comfortable working with a wide variety of APIs including building of custom endpoints
